EMS Skills Instructors

 Individuals in this role will assist the primary course instructor in the skills, scenario, and simulation lab setting to facilitate learning and help students meet the course objectives. The primary function is to allow the students to develop and practice the physical skills necessary to work as a prehospital healthcare professional. Scheduling is very flexible with “shifts” available in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Minimum Requirements

o   Certification by the CDPHE as an EMT or higher

o   Experience as an EMT in a patient care setting

  • Preferred Requirements

o   Associate’s degree (or higher) in EMS, education, or a related field

o   Certification by the CHPHE as a paramedic

o   3 years or more of experience as an EMS provider in a prehospital setting

o   Completion of the CDPHE Assistant EMS Instructor Course*
