Position Title: IDEA Lab Digital Storyteller (Social Media & Marketing)

Job Description: The student selected for this position will promote events (Makerfaires, Expos, etc.) and capture/document activities in the Idea Lab through the use of different social media and marketing tools that will help us tell our story.
The student selected for this position will use social media and marketing tools to help tell the story of the Idea Lab and work with Idea Lab employees, faculty, and staff to promote upcoming workshops, club meetings, events, classes, etc.
Job Requirements: Students who apply for this position should be familiar with social media applications, basic DSLR camera functions and basic graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Spark and Photoshop. Video editing experience with programs such as Adobe Premiere is preferred but not required. In addition, students will:
- Work between 15 and 20 hours each week.
- Be responsible for promoting Idea Lab events (Makerfaires, IDEA Expo, etc.).
- Assist Idea Lab members with video documentation of their school design projects.
- Capture Idea Lab activities through pictures, videos and audio files.
- Document Idea Lab activities on the Idea Lab Instagram.
This position will report to the Idea Institute Innovation Manager, work with other Idea Lab employees and participate in Idea Lab employee meetings. Strong communication and problem solving skills are required.
You must be eligible for student employment (enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours for the semester in which you will be working) to apply for this position.

- Use marketing strategies to help promote events.

Job Payment Information:
Wage: $10.20 - 10.50 per hour
Paid: Bi-weekly (Fridays)
