Position Title: Student Life Assistant I - Lakewood Campus

Position Type: Work-Study, Student Hourly or Both Considered

Job Description: Assist the Student Life Department with all aspects of the Student Life program to meet the needs of students at the Lakewood campus.  Staff the Student Life Desk at Lakewood campus, inform students and employees about Student Life offerings, make ID cards, facilitate food bank operations, assist clubs and study groups to form, assist with special events and programs, support student organizations.  Must be able to work independently at times.

Job Requirements: Strong customer service, communication, and organization skills.  Experience using Microsoft Office products, general computer and light phone skills.

Candidate should be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per week, with a minimum of possibly 20 hours per week.

Preferred availability Monday-Thursday 9:00am – 7:00pm and Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm, some Saturday’s from 10am – 2pm.  Hours are flexible to help with your school schedule.  You must be eligible for student employment (enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours for the semester in which you will be working) to apply for this position.

Skills you will gain/enhance: This position provides many opportunities for personal and professional growth in areas such as: customer service; communication; managing groups and programs; and experience with multiple computer programs. Professional development opportunities are provided for students whenever possible.

Wage: $11.50 per hour (Level II)
Paid: Bi-weekly (Fridays)
