Position Title: Intramural Sports Lead

Position Type: Work-Study Preferred; Student Hourly Considered

Job Description: The Intramural Sports Lead will assume responsibility for the operation of various intramural sports leagues, tournaments, and events.  Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and enhancing the experience of Red Rocks Intramural Sports participants through administration and some coordination of Intramural Assistants. In addition to directly organizing and officiating intramural sports, the position will oversee activity set-up and take-down, rules dissemination and enforcement, officiating mechanics, game & event management, effective communication, scorekeeping, inter-departmental collaboration, staff training, documentation, adherence to and enforcement of Student Recreation Center policies, and other duties as assigned.

  • Cooperative spirit in working with peers, supervisors, participants, and college faculty and staff;
  • Ability to remain patient and calm in all situations, and handle and resolve conflict in a timely and orderly manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED and Standard First Aid or be willing to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire
  • At least 3 years of participation in organized sports
  • One year of previous vocational management experience (preferred)
  • One year of event planning experience (preferred)

Job Payment Information:

Wage: $11/hour
Paid: Bi-weekly (Fridays)
