Position Title: Utility Worker/Maintenance

Position Type: Work Study

Job Description:   Work with the Facility Services Maintenance Department performing general job duties such as setting up and tearing down of tables and chairs for events and/or classrooms, sweeping shop area, and other miscellaneous shop duties.   This position will not be working with table saws or other power tools.

 

Job Requirements: Able to lift 75 pounds.  Basic computer skills, good reading, verbal and written communication skills including excellent ability to follow directions with attention to detail, must be able to prioritize your given job duties and must be able to work well with others.

 

You must be eligible for student employment (enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours for the semester in which you will be working) to apply for this position.

 

Skills you will gain/enhance: You will learn and improve on skills such as being dependable, communication skills, taking direction, speaking with customers, being a team player, learning to prioritize your work, schedule, problem solving.

 

Job Payment Information: 

Wage: Level II

Paid: Bi-weekly (Fridays)
