Red Rocks Community College is seeking a part time radiologic technology skills instructor!  Our Radiologic Technology Education (RTE) Program is committed to excellence in education demonstrated by providing effective, hands-on instruction in the classroom and clinical settings.  Graduates of the program provide safe, patient-centered care and quality diagnostic services to the community as radiologic technologists.

This position is located on the newly expanded Arvada campus, with views looking along the Front Range to Boulder and beyond. The Arvada campus is a state of the art instructional space for health sciences programs and facilitates inter-professional education in the fields of Diagnostic Sonography, Medical Assisting and Office Management, Nurse Aide, Physician Assistant, Radiologic Technology, and RN programs. Radiology students have access a variety of x-ray machines on campus providing hands-on experience prior to clinical internship.  During internship, students have the opportunity to rotate to multiple clinical sites, including a trauma one facility.

Provides hands-on instructional support to students practicing radiographic exam procedures in the x-ray lab.  Acts in a supportive role to the program and to faculty teaching the curriculum, ensuring that instruction between classroom and lab is consistent and effective.  Adheres to program policies and enforces lab radiation safety policies.  Provides functional training and academic consultation.  Actively participates in program events, meetings, trainings and assessment activities. 

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of a JRCERT accredited radiologic technology program, with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology.  ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography RT(R).

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in medical imaging or related discipline.  2 years of paid clinical experience in radiologic technology.  At least 3 months of experience with course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.

The current hourly rate for this position is $30/hr.  Fall & Spring semesters, Wednesdays 8:30am-4pm & Fridays 8:30am-5pm, with the option of open lab instruction on Thursdays 12-4p.
