Red Rocks Community College is seeking a part time radiologic technology clinical site visitor!  Our Radiologic Technology Education (RTE) Program is committed to excellence in education demonstrated by providing effective, hands-on instruction in the classroom and clinical settings.  Graduates of the program provide safe, patient-centered care and quality diagnostic services to the community as radiologic technologists.

During clinical internship, students have the opportunity to rotate to multiple clinical sites, including: St. Anthony’s Hospital (Lakewood), St. Anthony’s North (Westminster), 84th Neighborhood Clinic (Westminster), Lutheran Medical Center (Wheat Ridge), St. Joseph’s Hospital (Denver), Kaiser Permanente (Denver), Touchstone Imaging (Wheat Ridge), Good Samaritan Medical Center (Lafayette), Invision Sally Jobe (Golden).

Duties:
Acts as the representative of the college, traveling to clinical settings as a clinical site visitor.  Maintains collaborative, supportive, and positive relationships with clinical affiliates.  Observes and evaluates student clinical performance and competence. Advises and mentors students to help them develop the necessary skills and attitudes needed to perform as radiographers.  Ensures that program policies are observed in the clinical setting. Does not directly participate in any radiographic exams or services provided by the clinical facility.  Conveys important clinical education information back to the Clinical Coordinator.  Actively participates in program events, meetings, trainings and assessment activities. 

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology.  2 years of paid clinical experience in radiologic technology.  ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography RT(R).  At least 3 months experience in supervision, instruction, and evaluation.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in medical imaging or related discipline.  5+ years of paid clinical experience in radiologic technology.  At least 3 months experience in providing clinical training to medical imaging students.

The current hourly rate for this position is $30/hr, 10-20 hrs per week.  Flexible schedule.  Mileage expenses reimbursed.
