Responsibilities:

Provide quality teaching by collaborating with the other Toddler/Preschool Teachers, Assistant Toddler Preschool Teachers, primary caregivers, families and the Center Director to meet the needs of the children in their care. Plan and execute developmentally appropriate activities for children based on their needs and interests on a weekly basis. Keep anecdotal records on each child and provide periodic developmental summaries for families. Model quality care giving practices for students in the ECE program.

Responsible for assistant director duties including decisions regarding personnel, recruitment, hiring, training, staff support and maintaining appropriate/desired staff ratios.

This position is responsible for the full duties of the Center Director in the Director’s absence.

Required Qualifications:

  • AA degree in ECE or related field or within nine (9) credit hours of an AA, or the equivalent combination of classroom and educational experience.
  • Director qualified in the State of Colorado
  • As minimum of five (5) years of experience in early childhood classrooms.
  • CPR/First Aid qualified.
  • Knowledge of Colorado Childcare Rules and Regulations
  • Knowledge of ITERS, ECERS, High/Scope COR

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous administration in ECE programs

Salary: 35,000/annual
