Position Announcement – Adjunct/Part Time Radiologic Technology Instructor

This position is located on the newly expanded Arvada campus, with views looking along the Front Range to Boulder and beyond. The Arvada campus is a state of the art instructional space for health sciences programs and facilitates inter-professional education in the fields of Diagnostic Sonography, Medical Assisting and Office Management, Nurse Aide, Physician Assistant, Radiologic Technology, and RN programs. Radiology students have access a variety of x-ray machines on campus providing hands-on experience prior to clinical internship.  During internship, students have the opportunity to rotate to multiple clinical sites, including a trauma one facility.

The Radiologic Technology Education (RTE) Program is committed to excellence in education demonstrated by providing effective, hands-on instruction in the classroom and clinical settings.  Graduates of the program provide safe, patient-centered care and quality diagnostic services to the community as radiologic technologists.

Develops and facilitates classroom and/or online instruction for radiologic technology courses.  Actively participates in program events, meetings, trainings and assessment activities. 

An instructor is currently needed for RTE 101: Introduction to Radiologic Technology (2 credits), offered on-campus in Arvada starting this Fall semester (August).  Further teaching opportunities may occur in future.

Payment is based on the credit hour and level of experience.  RRCC starts at $840.58/credit hour.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of a JRCERT accredited radiologic technology program, with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology.  ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography RT(R). Experience with course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.  Minimum of 4,000 hours (2 years full-time equivalent) of paid experience as a radiologic technologist.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in medical imaging or related discipline.
