CAD 3D, and 3D printing Adjunct Instructor

Red Rocks Community College is seeking a part time Engineering Graphics instructor.

RRCC has two campuses: our main campus in Lakewood, Colorado and our newly expanded campus in Arvada, Colorado. This position is located on the 140-acre, beautifully landscaped, Lakewood main campus, high in the foothills, with views looking along the Front Range to Boulder and beyond. Just minutes from downtown Denver, with dedicated RTD light-rail and bus stops, commuting is quick and easy. Teach evening engineering graphics courses (CAD202 Computer Aided Drafting 3D, and CAD262 3D printing). Monday and Wednesday 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Students will use AutoCAD English 2019 -3D in CAD202 Computer Aided Drafting 3D to work on a 3D digital model, develop a set of manufacturing drawings with dimensions and annotations per ASME specs. In CAD262 3D printing, students will learn about safety, methods and materials on the different 3D Printers the department uses, work on a new 3D digital model of an assembly, and prepare it to 3D print. Students will need to make a presentation on their assembly, and will be able to take home their 3D model at the end of the semester. 


Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting


Has, or qualifies for, postsecondary CTE credential including 4000 non-teaching occupational hours within the last 7 years (2000 hours if at Bachelor’s or higher)

Payment is based on the credit hour/contact hour and class ratio as assigned to you by the department chair. RRCC starts at $1216.23/credit hour.
