Position Responsibilities:

The Student Information Systems Professional position provides technical support and management for the DegreeWorks, CRM, and IntelliResponse, online programs which support the College’s student enrollment and retention. The position works with Records, Advising and Admission Offices in support of the functionality and accuracy of degree auditing. The Specialist is responsible for the DegreeWorks program being fully functional for student, faculty and staff and that all RRCC certificate and degree programs are accurately updated.  The Student Information Systems Specialist serves as the design, implementation, manager, and monitor of the College’s CRM system and various campaigns including oversight of direct communication with students through the CRM.  In addition, the Specialist makes recommendations to increase the use of the CRM to ensure an effective and efficient informational pathway to student enrollment. The pathway includes monitoring and revising the College's Frequently Asked Questions in IntelliResponse and collaboration with RRCC Call Center staff to insure integrity of data in the lntelliResponse system. The Student Information Systems Specialist provides training in the use of DegreeWorks, CRM, and IntelliResponse system for faculty, staff and students.

DegreeWorks Update/Maintenance

  • Update the content and format of DegreeWorks utilizing the programs Scribe, Surecode and Transit. Scribes and/or deactivates program in Banner using programming skills for all RRCC certificate and degree programs. Maintains discontinued programs to meet "sun setting" requirements
  • Review degree audit programming for accuracy, complete program requirements, make corrections to audits in computer system. Collaborate with Academic Advising, as well as Instructional Services to ensure audit consistency and quality control among DegreeWorks users. Keeps up-to-date with changing academic program requirements and advising practices to ensure maximum functionality among day-to-day users and advisors.
  • Maintain currency on higher education academic policies and procedures relating to degree and program requirements including; grading, repeats, withdrawals, duplicate courses, graduation assessments, and transfer articulation processes.
  • Apply approved substitutions/waivers to degree audits in DegreeWorks.
  • Maintain database tables in computer system (DegreeWorks) for transcripts and web applications.
  • Provides Degree Works training for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Develop a method for reporting, tracking, and implementing needed program changes, as well as a calendar of operations for coordination within the department.
  • Participates on RRCC committees (i.e. catalog committee) and collaborates with appropriate personnel  (Degree Works users), as CCCS  Degree Audit work teams to ensure  a quality  degree audit  product for staff and students.

Data Management and Degree Audits

  • Monitor CDHE, SBCCOE, Banner, and RRCC Catalogue for program accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist graduation coordinator in evaluating RRCC certificates utilizing DegreeWorks.
  • Provides DegreeWorks overview training for faculty and staff.
  • Participates on RRCC committees, task forces and student services teams to ensure a quality degree audit product for students, faculty and staff.
  • Creates COGNOS reports and interprets data into end-user friendly reports


  • Create, implement, and monitor the use of the CRM system (building and managing campaigns)
  • Provide CRM training as needed
  • Pull reports from CRM to determine proper efficient and effective enrollment funnel management

Special Project Maintenance

  • Monitor and revise Intelliresponse questions and answers.
  • Pull reports from Intelliresponse and distributes to Vice President of Student Success and other Student Services managers.
  • Meet regularly with the Intelliresponse Knowledge Base Analyst to ensure quality of the systems' knowledge base.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree (preferably an associates in computer programming or computer science).
  • One-year experience working with various computer software applications and student information systems such as BANNER or DegreeWorks.
  • Excellent overall computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of academic advising practices
  • Knowledge of degree programs in a higher education setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • One-year experience working with DegreeWorks
  • One year experience creating campaigns in a CRM system
  • Experience working in a higher education setting
  • Computer programming experience

Salary: $40,500/annual
